South Korea's Hyundai Motor Co. will begin testing its self-driving car in southern California roads  next month. The South Korean company said it had teamed up with technology group Bonnie Eye and VIA, which offers a Butrade-on-demand delivery service that will offer free trips to Irvine self-controlled vehicles from Nov. 4. "The goal is to examine consumer behavior in an environment where mobility is participatory," said Christopher Chang, head of business development, strategy and technology at Hyundai Motor. Through its program, VIA will coordinate joint trips from departure or arrival points, and the vehicles will be equipped with Pony.i self-driving technology, according to Hyundai.
